LOCATION: Must be located in the Atlanta, Savannah or Chicago area Market Development Manager – Telecom / Fiber Optics Location: Atlanta, Savannah, or Chicago (In-Market, Field-Based) Clearwave Fiber is expanding fast in the fiber-optic telecommunications industry, and we’re looking for a skilled relationship-builder who knows how to navigate contracts, influence municipalities, and bring a true sales-hunter mentality to the table. If you can walk into a city council meeting, command the room, and secure approvals that drive FTTP network growth, this is your arena. What You’ll Do Represent Clearwave Fiber as the connective force between our company and the municipal world. You’ll drive fiber expansion by: Municipal & Government Engagement • Build and deepen relationships with municipalities, city councils, county officials, chambers, and community leaders • Present Clearwave Fiber’s value proposition and earn support for FTTP buildouts • Manage a pipeline of prospective markets through formal approval processes Contract & Agreement Ownership • Lead negotiations for franchise agreements, right-of-way access, and market entry contracts • Ensure every document is accurate, compliant, and fully executed • Track obligations and maintain airtight alignment with municipal requirements Sales & Market Strategy • Operate like a hunter: identify new territories and expansion opportunities • Track competitors, infrastructure activity, and potential overbuild threats • Support identification of government funding and grant opportunities Operational Impact • Deliver critical market intel to guide expansion strategy • Transition newly approved markets to internal operations teams • Represent Clearwave Fiber’s brand and mission with confidence What You Bring We need someone fluent in telecom, fearless with government stakeholders, and sharp in contract negotiation: ✔ 3–5+ years in business development or sales (telecom/fiber optics strongly preferred) ✔ Experience working with municipalities or public-sector partners ✔ Proven success negotiating ROW/franchise agreements ✔ Strong communication and political-savvy presence ✔ Ability to travel regionally 50–75% ✔ High-energy, self-driven operator who thrives with autonomy ✔ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Why Clearwave Fiber • Competitive Salary: $80–115k DOE + bonus • Health Benefits Day One: Medical, dental, vision, HSA/HRA options • 401(k) Match: Immediately vested • PTO: Up to 20 days in your first year • Free Fiber Service (inside our footprint) • Career development, recognition programs, EAP, and optional supplemental coverages • A culture built on Purpose, Ownership, Courage, Resourcefulness, and Simplicity About Us Clearwave Fiber is a rapidly growing provider of 100% fiber-optic internet across the Midwest and Southeast.
