This volunteer internship at Childhood Cancer Society is ideal for emerging Graphic Designers who want to develop their portfolio and gain hands-on experience while contributing to a meaningful cause. You will collaborate with the Art Department team and work under the direction of the Creative Director and Project Managers. • Follow direction from the Creative Director and Project Managers • Conduct research, develop concepts, and create projects from start to finish • Approach design challenges strategically and thoughtfully • Participate actively in critique sessions and provide/receive constructive feedback • Collaborate with cross-functional teams • Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines • Attend twice-weekly meetings with camera on • Teachable, coachable, and open to learning • Receptive to feedback and able to integrate it effectively • Proficiency in Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Lightroom) • Ability to create vector and raster images from scratch • Familiarity with Canva • Strong understanding of design fundamentals (typography, color, alignment, layout, hierarchy) • Understanding of branding and the ability to build and follow Brand Guidelines • Strong communication skills; comfortable speaking in meetings • Portfolio required (school projects are welcome) • Self-starter capable of working independently • Friendly, reliable, and comfortable working remotely This volunteer internship at Childhood Cancer Society is ideal for emerging Graphic Designers who want to develop their portfolio and gain hands-on experience while contributing to a meaningful cause.
