OVERVIEW A large-cap, American-owned manufacturer is seeking a self-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across emerging markets in electric vehicle, data center, and renewable energy applications. The business is investing heavily in its North American footprint, positioning for significant expansion and national market leadership. LOCATION Chicago Western Suburbs | On-Site RESPONSIBILITIES • Identify and secure new business opportunities within EV, energy, and related manufacturing sectors. • Develop and execute regional growth plans aligned with divisional strategy. • Manage sales both directly to OEMs and through distribution partners serving smaller customers. • Build relationships with OEMs, fabricators, and key accounts to expand applications of engineered materials. • Coordinate with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver timely technical solutions. • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions. • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and performance metrics. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred. • Minimum 3 years success in business development or technical sales for engineered products. • Experience selling engineered plastics to manufacturers or other products to EV/energy customers. • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and deliver measurable results. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • 40-50% travel.
