Carbon Zero Buildings is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to oversee the installation of electrification technologies (heat pump water heaters and HVAC systems), as well as other energy efficiency upgrades, in large multifamily housing complexes. Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems are at the core of what we do and you'll need to understand these systems thoroughly. In this role, you will leverage your general contractor mindset to manage multiple subcontractors and vendors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. Responsibilities Responsibilities: • Project Management: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Oversee all project phases from inception to completion. • Financial Management: Manage project budgets, cash flow, and contracts. • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and government agencies. • Project Leadership: Coordinate with consultants, guide stakeholders, and drive project success. • Building Systems Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of building systems and construction principles. • Engineering Mindset: Love understanding the way engineered systems work, what makes them operate successfully. • Detail Orientation: Compare As-Built Conditions to Plans & Specifications. Create and manage detailed punchlists of MEP system installations • Incentive Program Management: Adhere to incentive program requirements, interface with program personnel, and ensure timely payment. • Compliance: Ensure all project activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • Proven track record of successful project delivery in construction or energy efficiency. • Proven on-the-job track record of successfully leveraging an "engineering mindset" and "detail orientation" as defined above • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. • Proficiency in project management software and financial analysis tools. • In-depth knowledge of building systems and construction processes.
