Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in ensuring Calbee America's products meet the highest standards of food safety and quality. This position monitors production lines, inspects sanitation, and performs quality checks in compliance with company procedures, regulatory standards, and customer expectations. The QA Technician also ensures accurate documentation and effective communication across departments to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor production processes to ensure quality and food safety standards are met or exceeded. • Inspect equipment after sanitation to verify cleanliness and compliance with sanitation requirements. • Report and respond to incidents of contamination or deviations from specifications. • Perform monitoring procedures for CCP #1 (metal detection) and document results accurately. • Maintain all required documentation related to quality control, including logs and inspection forms. • Communicate effectively with production, sanitation, and maintenance teams to address quality concerns. • Assist in training team members on quality, safety, and food safety practices. • Participate in and apply knowledge from training sessions related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, and SQF. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures. • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 2 hours at a time). • Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach; lift/pull/carry up to 30 pounds occasionally. • Must work in varying environments, including hot, cold, and production areas. • Perform light to medium physical work. Qualifications: • Familiarity with quality control equipment and basic lab testing. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Ability to read, write, and understand quality and food safety documentation in English. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): • Safety eyewear when performing designated tasks. • Hair net, gloves, and protective clothing required at all times in production areas. • Additional PPE as needed based on tasks and area of the facility.
