Bachelor's in civil/structural engineering, Ohio PE registration or ability to obtain it, 20+ years bridge design and project management experience, proficiency with specific bridge design software, and strong collaboration skills.

Burgess & Niple is looking for a Bridge Design Project Manager to join our Columbus office. B&N Bridge Design Project Manager Responsibilities • Lead project teams in the completion of engineering calculations and plan preparation for bridge design and rehabilitation projects • Maintain quality control of the work product, manage risk and successfully complete projects on time and within budget • Mentor less experienced engineers to support their development into independent professionals • Work with B&N bridge staff to develop new and maintain current client relationships • Lead pursuits of bridge design projects, including client meetings, proposal preparation, and interviews • Leverage existing and cultivate new relationships with other consulting firms for successful project teaming and delivery • Actively participate in bridge related professional societies/organizations and conferences, including submitting presentation abstracts and award applications to fortify B&N’s bridge Engage in a collaborative work environment throughout B&N’s bridge design community, promoting knowledge sharing, work sharing and best practices Skills & Qualifications • A Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited civil or structural or equivalent engineering program • Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) Registration and ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within six months • 20+ years of related bridge design with project and staff management experience • Microsoft Word & Excel (Microsoft Project a plus) • Bentley Open Bridge Designer, MDX, AASHTOWare BrR required • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with experience maintaining client relationships • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
