At least 3 years managing a remote sales team, experience in industrial B2B sales preferred, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and ability to travel 50%.
JOB DESCRIPTION: You will be responsible for leading a sales region, include a team of external salespeople, to deliver upon your sales plan as set by Sales Management. While your job is to make others successful, you will also still handle and grow accounts within your own defined territory. This is a home-based position, and your Region will be the South-West. You should be prepared to travel around 50% of your time and your responsibilities will include: • Grow sales within your own territory by penetrating and growing industrial accounts according to set targets and this in line with the job descriptions for Territory Sales Representatives. • Prepare annual targets and heat/opportunity mapping for each territory together with Sales Manager and deliver on set sales plan for your region. • Accomplish regional sales objectives by training, coaching, supporting and leading both outside sales employees in all aspects of their jobs. • Communicate clear expectations by creating a plan for each territory in support of your regional objectives. Monitor, appraise, and review job contributions, as well as enforce policies and procedures. • Support your salespeople with daily communication, help on building and maintaining rapport with key customers and identifying new opportunities. Schedule regular joined visits and regular 1-1’s to make sure necessary support is given and salespeople are on track. • Use KPI’s to manage your team ensuring they meet the expected activity and skill level (KPI’s being # visits made, $ quoted, $ won, # new customers etc.). • Enforce the proper, timely and frequent use of our CRM by entering and maintaining information in a consistent manner and as required by Boplan. • Keeps strong and constructive communication with Sales Management regarding requested forecasts, HR related issues, market trends and implement change when necessary. • Stay aware of customers, market and competitors and communicate any relevant information to Sales Management. • Be a true Boplan Ambassador and culture carrier, both externally and internally. In addition to your own individual performance, this means you will support team members whenever possible.
