Senior Project Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SIWS) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Level 4) in El Segundo, CA. Position Responsibilities: Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements supporting new task orders and internal risk reduction effort Identifies and manages changes to statement of work and assesses the impact of those changes Determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules identifies and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program Works with internal and external customers and management to obtain approval. Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules using cost accounting, risk, demand and supply forecasting, and other databases Leads project execution to complete the work statement. Identifies performance metrics and builds management charts, coordinates training for new information systems, develops metrics for reporting Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program Define detailed action plans for risk mitigation and opportunities for growth and efficiencies Potential travel to customer sites as needed This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 7+ years of experience in an engineering role 2+ years of experience leading teams in formal and /or informal leadership Able to travel up to 25% domestically Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Product / project lifecycle management experience Experience managing cost and schedule performance using Earned-Value Management (EVM) principles Microsoft Office Suite desired (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Project) Previous interaction with customers and senior managers/executives Capable of working both independently and in a team environment Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
