Lead Manufacturing Engineer Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. The selected candidate will join the STE (Special Test Equipment) Architecture, Engineering and Design team which is challenging the status quo and driving the Model Based Engineering culture and operations outlook. The ideal candidate will bridge manufacturing and electrical systems teams to ensure producible, testable, and cost-effective electrical assemblies. BT&E El Segundo STE architecture and engineering team is responsible for the development and delivery of test system solutions and Special Test Equipment (STE) engineering products to our satellite system test teams. Position Responsibilities Include: Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements Coordinates with supplier management and project managers to ensure that manufacturing requirements, hardware standards, design criteria and schedule performance to build plan, are integrated and accurate Document and communicate producibility best practices Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring Coordinates parts procurement using various tools for management visibility Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 4+ years of experience in engineering design or manufacturing engineering Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools Experience in production systems and integration of the supply chain Experience working with procurement in the acquisition of parts Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
