Director, Talent Management The Director, Talent Management manages the human resource process, playing a key role in the recruiting, development, and retention, of the consulting staff. Specific responsibilities include: Recruiting Work closely with Bluestar Leadership Team to assess and support ongoing recruiting needs • Create job postings and review all resume submissions • Conduct all first level interview screens • Coordinate interview schedules, interview days, and debriefs • Conduct reference checks and write offer letters • Take part in select career fairs and conduct follow-up • Conduct informational interviews to support ongoing interest in Bluestar • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits Performance Management Manage the semi-annual performance review process for the consulting team • Schedule and manage the mid-year and year-end review process • Review and edit all performance review summary documents • Conduct and write-up manager upward appraisals Organize new employee orientation schedules Identify and support individual team members’ training needs as required Take part in staffing discussions to facilitate employee developmental goals Retention/Culture Maintain a supportive and engaging culture • Conduct monthly employee check-ins (in person or via online meeting platforms such as Zoom) • Work with consulting staff to develop team building activities – social and community service Company Policy and Regulatory Compliance Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations • Update and/or revise employee handbook as needed • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigations, if needed • Handle immigration related issues, if needed • Handle family or disability leave, if needed Bluestar is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against qualified applicants on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, color, religion, ancestry, age, marital status, national origin, disability or handicap, or veteran status.
