We specialize in powder-actuated fastening systems, construction fasteners and tools, acoustic hanging solutions, and other specialty equipment that support commercial construction across the Americas. We are driven by innovation, product performance, and our ability to respond quickly to the evolving needs of contractors, engineers, dealers, and jobsite professionals. As we continue expanding our market presence throughout the Eastern and Northeastern U.S., we are seeking a high-energy, relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. Why This Role Matters This is a highly influential role. You will be the face of BluePoint in your region—working with dealers, contractors, jobsite personnel, and also engineers and architectural firms to promote, test, and specify our products. Your work will directly shape our regional growth, brand presence, and future product development. What You Will Do 1. Direct Field Sales & Customer Development • Conduct regular face-to-face visits with distributors, contractors, end users, and jobsite teams. • Present and demonstrate BluePoint special tools, fasteners, and new product solutions. • Expand revenue by growing existing accounts and developing new customers and markets. • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships across your assigned territory. 2. Work with Architects, Engineers & Specifiers (Key Strategic Responsibility) • Meet with architectural firms, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and design consultants. • Introduce BluePoint fastening systems and specialty hanging solutions. • Provide technical information, installation guides, samples, and spec support. • Influence product specifications (spec-in) for future projects. • Assist the company in supporting product certifications, code compliance requirements, and regional approvals by gathering necessary technical input from the field. 3. New Product Testing & Product Development Collaboration • Work closely with our product development team. • Coordinate on-site testing with contractors and jobsite foremen. • Collect feedback, identify product improvement opportunities, and provide field-based insights. • Support pilot launches and customer education for newly developed products. 4. Market Intelligence & Brand Building • Collect market information, competitor activity, and customer pain points. • Identify growth opportunities and gaps in the market. • Represent BluePoint at trade shows, industry events, and customer demos. • Help strengthen BluePoint’s presence across the Eastern/Northeastern region. What You Bring Industry & Sales Experience • 3+ years of outside sales experience in: • Construction Material fasteners • Powder-actuated tools / fastening systems • Datacom / acoustic hanging systems • Electrical, HVAC, or construction hardware • Strong existing relationships with contractors, distributors, or engineering firms a plus. Technical & Communication Skills • Ability to confidently demonstrate tools and educate customers. • Comfortable discussing technical concepts with engineers and design professionals. • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and customer-first mindset. • Excellent verbal and written communication. Work Style & Requirements • Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently. • Willing to travel up to 75% within the Eastern / Northeastern U.S. • Proficient with MS Office, CRM systems, and online research tools. • Valid driver’s license. • High school diploma or higher.
