The Financial Analyst will focus on financial analysis for the Product and Technology organization, working closely with senior leaders. Responsibilities include cost analysis, budget/forecasts, business planning, and driving process improvements.
Candidates should have 1-3 years of corporate financial analysis experience and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the Financial Analyst will be a professional, independent, and self-motivated individual that focuses on financial analysis for the Product and Technology organization at Blackbaud. This person will be responsible for working closely with senior leaders across this organization. This position will serve as a finance business partner ensuring the accuracy of results focusing on cost analysis, budget/forecasts, business planning and strategy development to drive efficiencies, improve quality and provide visibility. This candidate must be able to work independently, have a strong attention to detail, ability to present to company executives, capable of working with teams, a quick learner, and superior MS Office skills. What you’ll do: Work closely with senior leaders in the Product and Technology organization to serve as a finance liaison/business partner to provide support in the following areas: Quarterly 24-month forecasts and annual budget Month-end close Monthly reporting Position and purchase management Cost analysis Drive process improvements in reporting by leading team usage of Hyperion (HFM), Hyperion Planning and Workday tools. Provides analysis and summaries of vendor contracts and invoices when appropriate. Works with other Financial Analysts to review variance analyses for budget, forecast and actual results. Develops and implements procedures and processes related to the assigned projects. Work with the supporting teams assisting in processes such as monthly forecast process as well as any cost model discussions around investments. Ensure compliance with company policy, SOX, SEC guidelines and reporting requirements. Compile presentations of a thoroughness and quality suitable for senior level audiences, including executive and strategic. What you’ll bring: 1-3 years of corporate financial analysis experience showing progressively increasing responsibility. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, and chart creation. Must be able to demonstrate strong principles of financial analysis. Proven track record for working effectively in a remote environment. Strong business skills required. Strong team and people skills required. Ideal candidate is a strong team player, quality conscious, has excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and is highly self-motivated. Work independently under limited supervision, exercise initiative within established procedural guidelines, and organize and prioritize work to meet established deadlines. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality of such data and information. Prioritize work effectively. Apply company policies and standards. Analyze information, reach conclusions and formulate such thoughts into written action plans. Exercise good judgment, decisiveness, and creativity. Interface with individuals at all levels of the organization and establish effective working relationships. The starting base pay is $61,000.00 to $77,800.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
