Full Description

Is it surprising to hear that a financial institution of 1.5 million members and over $30 billion in managed assets say that success comes from focusing on people, not profits? Our “people helping people” philosophy has guided us since 1935, driving our deep commitment to serving our members, communities, and each other. When you join our team, you become part of a purpose-driven organization where your work makes a real difference. While we’re proud of our history, we’re even more excited about our future. With business and technology transformation on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to be part of BECU. PAY RANGE The Target Pay Range for this position is $152,300.00-$186,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $118,200.00 - $220,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role. BENEFITS – Because People Helping People Starts With Supporting You • 401(k) Company Match (up to 3%) • 4% annual contribution to your 401(k) by BECU • Medical, Dental and Vision (family contributions as well) • PTO Program + Exchange Program • Tuition Reimbursement Program • BECU Cares volunteer time off + donation match IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE As a Senior Agile Coach at BECU, you’ll play a hands-on role in empowering teams to adopt and evolve Agile ways of working. You’ll coach and mentor Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile teams — and work closely with leaders to build sustainable, high-performing practices. If you’re passionate about helping people grow, creating custom learning experiences, and making Agile practical (not theoretical), this is your opportunity to drive real impact across a diverse organization. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, CA, VA, or NC. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment. What You’ll Do • Coach Across Teams: Provide day-to-day coaching to multiple teams using Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile practices. Help teams strengthen their delivery and collaboration. • Support Hybrid Environments: Guide Agile practices within teams working across different delivery models — including waterfall, iterative, and blended approaches. • Train & Educate: Build and deliver customized training sessions, workshops, and Agile learning content that meet the evolving needs of teams and leaders. • Promote Practical Agility: Help teams and departments adopt Agile ways of working that match their context and maturity — no “one-size-fits-all” thinking. • Collaborate with Coaches: Partner with fellow Agile Coaches to share insights, align coaching approaches, and support enterprise-level initiatives without formal transformation programs. • Support Tools & Techniques: Provide best practices and hands-on support with Agile tools and methods (e.g., Kanban boards, Scrum events, team health checks). • Encourage Continuous Improvement: Use facilitation, feedback, and retrospectives to help teams reflect, adapt, and improve how they work together. • This isn’t just about ticking off tasks on a list. It's about making a significant, positive change in BECU’s journey, where your contributions are valued, and your growth is continually fostered. What You’ll Gain • A unique opportunity to shape Agile ways of working across diverse teams and workstyles • The ability to create and deliver impactful learning content that meets real-world needs • A collaborative peer group of coaches who support each other’s growth • Exposure to a wide range of delivery models and team dynamics • A role that values people, progress, and practical impact over frameworks or jargon Qualifications Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/educational experience • Minimum 7 years of experience in Agile environments, including at least 5 years in a dedicated Agile coaching role supporting multiple teams using Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery models, with a proven ability to create and deliver Agile training content Desired Qualifications • Advanced degree preferred. • Experience supporting Agile ways of working across both technical and business teams • Familiarity with Agile delivery in regulated industries or highly matrixed environments • Skilled in adapting coaching strategies for teams using waterfall, iterative, or hybrid models • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority • Proficient in Agile collaboration tools JOIN THE JOURNEY Ready to make an indelible impact? Eager to be part of a collaborative and innovative team where your ideas and contributions don’t just fill a role but fuel the growth and success of BECU?
