Review and analyze client payment records, resolve insurance coverage discrepancies, maximize client revenue recovery, and support management with analytics and project tasks.
High school diploma or GED with 4+ years in claims, billing, eligibility or related healthcare experience, plus 1+ year in leadership or operational initiatives, strong healthcare billing and medical coding knowledge, and advanced Excel skills.
Job Description: • Review and analyze large volumes of client pre-pay and/or post-pay records • Investigate coverages for eligibility and determine primacy • Educate and resolve discrepancies with insurance carriers, employers, and/or providers • Maximize revenue for client recovery programs • Leverage strong knowledge and expertise in COB/TPL/EOB to gather and review eligibility • Analyze and understand written communication from insurance companies • Provide ongoing feedback to Management and Analytics Teams • Assist Management on assigned projects (including ramping up new client programs), client requests, regular reporting, data analysis and reconciliations, testing, and analytics reviews Requirements: • High School diploma or GED; college and/or relevant certification preferred • Minimum 4 years of directly related progressive experience (claims, billing, eligibility, Medicaid, EOB, etc.) • Minimum 1 year of experience in a function demonstrating the ability to lead or make strong contributions to initiatives involving operations workflow, data reporting and analysis, contributing to the set-up of new clients or programs, or subject matter expertise applied to department workflows or projects, direct or indirect staff oversight or training, etc. • Strong knowledge and substantial experience with Healthcare billing, medical terminology, and high-level medical coding • Proven strength gathering and interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to answer questions and resolve complex primacy issues. • Strong skills using standard office technology; computer, various applications and navigation of on-line tools and resources, keyboard, mouse, phone, headset. • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated skills analyzing large data sets relevant to the position.
