Full Description

Department: Central Processing Shift: Evening Working Hours: 2p-11pEvery other weekend off. Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring that customer supplies are accurately and efficiently processed and delivered to satisfactorily meet the customer need in a safe manner. Key responsibilities include: Designing, establishing, and managing assigned PAR locations; includes counting, monitoring, and adjusting PAR levels and reorder information. Maintain constant and effective communication with assigned units to understand supply needs based on current and future patient population. Effectively use supply information systems technology to proactively identify potential problems in the PAR locations. Receiving. Stocking. Picking. Delivering. Serving as the department's Customer Service representative. Providing and/or assisting with the training of coworkers and volunteers. Demonstrates a positive attitude and leadership at all times. Supports and participates in efforts to successfully implement supply chain changes to improve processes and reduce costs. Knows and follows all Baptist Health and government policies and regulations. Is cross trained on all departmental duties; providing needed back up coverage. This position may also be assigned special projects and given updated assignments. Other information: 1. Education & Experience: A. High school diploma or GED is required. B. At least 2 yrs of experience in Supply Chain preferred; relevant health care experience preferred. C. Candidate must be willing to attend needed education and training required to successfully fulfill job duties. D. Ability to pass required system competency tests. 2. Knowledge, skills, abilities: A. Strong customer service skills. B. Strong leadership and teamwork skills. C. Ability to multi-task and work in a semi-self-directed manner. D. Ability to interact well with co-workers and with all levels and departments throughout the system. E. Good communication skills. F. Good computer skills; ability to quickly learn and apply new systems. G. Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills. H. Creative thinking and problem solving skills. I. Flexibility; willingness to support change, take on new assignments. J. Proven track record of dependability. K. Ability to consistently deliver a high level of work accuracy. This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
