Description Under New Management – Opening Leadership Opportunity Avion Hospitality is excited to assume management of the Hyatt Place Nashville/Brentwood, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead this hotel through transition and into its next phase of operational excellence. This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to shape culture, elevate service, grow revenue performance, and build an engaged, high-performing team aligned with Avion’s values of Trust, Transparency, and Results. The Role: The General Manager oversees all hotel operations—including Rooms, Sales, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage—to ensure financial success, outstanding guest satisfaction, and employee development. This leader will establish strategic direction, maintain brand and operational standards, and play an active role in community and business development. Requirements What You'll Do: Lead day-to-day hotel operations with focus on guest experience, revenue generation, profitability, and strong cost controls. Represent the hotel as the primary ambassador—visible, engaged, responsive, and focused on service culture. Play an active role in hotel sales efforts including top-account engagement, client meetings, and community relationships. Conduct required daily, weekly, and monthly operational and business review meetings including ATOM and financial review sessions. Build, coach, and mentor department heads; support career development and succession planning. Maintain compliance with Hyatt brand standards and Avion Hospitality policies and operational systems. Ensure rigorous operating discipline: forecasting, budgeting, labor management, accounts payable, safety, and preventive maintenance. Lead hiring and oversight of all management interviews and provide final approval on all hotel candidates. Support and sustain a positive workplace culture centered on accountability, recognition, and trust. Maintain strong partnerships across internal departments and with corporate leadership. Continuously tour property operations, ensuring quality, cleanliness, and proactive problem solving. What You'll Bring 5+ years of progressive hotel leadership experience, including at least 2 years as a GM or AGM (or equivalent mix of degree plus hotel experience). Demonstrated success improving employee engagement, guest satisfaction, and top-line/bottom-line performance. Strong analytical and financial management skills including forecasting and budget oversight. Ability to lead through change and build high-performance teams. Experience with select-service brands or transition/opening experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems. Valid driver’s license and flexibility to support a 24-hour business. Physical Requirements Long hours and flexible scheduling as required (typical 50-hour work week) Light work – ability to lift/carry up to 20 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently
