Come join the Artech team! Job Title: Content Engineer Duration: 6-12+ months Location: Cupertino, CA / Remote Pay rate: $50 - $55/hr. W2 We're looking for a Content Engineer with a passion for media, customer experience, and the quality of content and service synonymous with us. Job Summary Digital Supply Chain Content Engineering is the intersection of content (Video, Apps, Books, Music) processing, CMS tools and process support. This job covers technical operations and support of audio and video products, with an emphasis on live streaming and HLS. This role takes on many forms from ticket investigation, to content and live stream investigations, to identifying code and system issues for fix. Key Qualifications: • Experience diagnosing technical issues • Experience with SQL, XML • Familiarity with digital media files and content • Knowledge of video ecosystem and delivery of large scale video • Experience with live video services • Knowledge of process management, metrics and KPIs • Experience with Java programming, scripting (great but not required) • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to understand technical concepts and communicate with non-technical customers • Self-motivated, constantly looking for areas of improvement • Customer focus Day-to-day responsibilities: • Evening and Weekend coverage for live events and sports • troubleshooting live streams as well as post event asset processing • Serving as the primary point of contact for all technical groups and customers to address support issues and requests • Sometimes P1 high severity issues with immediate SLA • Reporting, monitoring and troubleshooting the content ingestion/encoding pipeline for all our Media Products • Conducting technical analysis of incidents, performing root cause investigation and review with technical teams • Communicating with production teams in planning for systems resources and tracking time-sensitive content • Analyzing workflows, filing detailed bug reports and providing QA test plans Education: Minimum BS in computer science, engineering or related experience
