Position: Cloud Software Engineer – Level 5 This role involves designing, implementing, integrating, and testing cloud-native service offerings in hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in containerization, orchestration, automation, and cloud security. Please Note: Candidates must currently hold an active Full Scope Poly clearance to be considered for this position. Key Technologies: AWS, Terraform, Go, Python (PyTest), Java 18, Kubernetes, Drools JSON, XML, Git, GitLab, CI/CD, Terraform Enterprise, Vault, Linux IAM Policy & Permission Boundaries, RMF, JUnit5, Cucumber Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain cloud applications deployed in Kubernetes environments (primarily AWS EKS). Create and manage IAM Policies, Roles, and Permission Boundaries across multiple AWS Organizations. Build and maintain Python-based applications using PyTest and Cucumber OR Java-based applications using JUnit5. Develop, publish, and maintain reusable Terraform modules for efficient infrastructure provisioning. Use Terraform Enterprise and Vault to manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaaS) and secure sensitive data. Mentor teammates, conduct technical reviews, and provide design and architectural improvements. Troubleshoot complex cloud environments, pushing code changes upstream to open-source projects when needed. Support operational environments as the highest tier of technical expertise. Automate PKI certificate creation and deployment across cloud vendors, OpenStack, and container platforms. Qualifications & Experience: 16+ years of experience in object-oriented programming (Java, Python, C++, or Go) OR 16+ years of experience integrating open-source/commercial software with automation scripting Demonstrated experience in Linux-based software development 5+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker) 8+ years of experience deploying applications to Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms Active Full Scope Poly clearance (Mandatory) Secret Clearance (Required) Preferred Certifications (Substitutable for Experience): Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Open Source Project Maintainer Status Why Work with Argo?
