Director of Manufacturing Operations – American Rifle Company Location: Mukilteo, WA Compensation: Base Salary $140,000 – $175,000 + Performance Bonus (10% – 20% Target) The Mission: Build and Run Our Manufacturing Business American Rifle Company (ARC) is not looking for a manager; we are looking for a Director of Manufacturing Operations who wants to run a business and be the decisive operational boss. Your mandate is to take full ownership of our growing 14-machine precision CNC shop (Mills, Lathes, Swiss, Wire EDM) and significantly increase its efficiency, stability, and profitability. You will lead the team, manage the supply chain, standardize processes, and own the results. Core Responsibilities (The Boss's Mandate) This is a strategic leadership and operational execution role rolled into one. You will be held accountable for the following: 1. Operational Leadership & Asset Deployment • Serve as the Director and direct manager for all shop personnel (approx. 12 people). • Be accountable for the scheduling, utilization, and maintenance of all 14 CNC machines to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). • Ensure a seamless transition of new products from design and initial setup to stable, repeatable, and cost-efficient mass production. 2. Strategic Sourcing & Cost Control • Own the procurement budget and process for all raw materials, tooling, and consumables. You must be a resourceful and shrewd negotiator. • Develop and manage our entire outsourcing network (heat treat, plating, etc.). 3. Growth and Team Building • Define and track key operational KPIs (cycle time, scrap rate, COGS). • Lead the recruitment and hiring process to build out the team as the company grows, ensuring new hires meet the ARC standard for work ethic and discipline. Compensation and Incentives • Base Salary: $140,000 – $175,000, commensurate with experience and proven ability. • Performance Bonus: An annual bonus target of 10% to 20% of your base salary, tied directly to measurable operational performance (OEE, Cost Reduction, Process Implementation).
