Employees may also perform other duties as assigned. JOB PURPOSE: • Write and review technical materials, such as manuals, appendices, or instructions. May assist in layout work. CORE DUTIES: • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, online accessibility, and terminology. • Design and format publications, and coordinate printing and distribution of technical documents. • Develop web or print content that complies with department and university standards. • Maintain records and files of work and revisions. • Monitor and resolve HelpSU tickets. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience: • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Excellent writing and grammar skills in addition to relevant technical knowledge. • Good working knowledge of HTML and CSS. • Good working knowledge of content management systems such as Drupal. • Good working knowledge of Google Workspace and Adobe Creative tools. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks. • Frequently sit, grasp lightly/fine manipulation. • Occasionally stand/walk, writing by hand. • Rarely use a telephone, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds. • Requires good visual acuity. • - Consistent with its obligations under the law, the University will provide reasonable accommodation to any employee with a disability who requires accommodation to perform the essential functions of the job.
