Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Team Lead in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You'll interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the retail or mall location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols. Assist with access control by verifying credentials and providing directions or information to visitors as needed. Maintain detailed logs and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and site procedures. Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or medical situations, following established protocols. Communicate professionally with site staff, tenants, and the public, representing Allied Universal in a courteous and helpful manner. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
