This position is a full time, in person position that works Monday-Thursday. No holidays or weekends required. Mon/Thurs 7:30 am-5p and Tuesday/Wednesday 7:30 am to 6 pm. This position is at the office of Allergy & Asthma Physicians in Commerce . Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Triage Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures, making it essential for candidates to have experience in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and hospital medicine. This position serves as a patient care coordinator in our office, providing support for our front desk and medical assistant teams. Responsibilities • Serves as a Patient Care Coordinator and Triage MA - ensuring patient care is seamless by working closely with front desk and medical assistants • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures • Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history • Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with medical coding standards (ICD coding) • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and coordinating referrals • Prepares and administers injections for allergy patients Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: • Knowledge of ENT/Allergy/Asthma is desired but not required] • Experience working in a team lead/triage role; must be able to take initiative, prioritize tasks in a busy office, communicate well and promote teamwork. • Experience giving injections to patients is a plus • Prior work experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a lead role • Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) protocols and emergency response procedures • Proficiency in EHR systems for effective patient documentation • Understanding of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments effectively If you are passionate about providing excellent patient care and thrive in a collaborative healthcare setting, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Medical Assistant.
