RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of sustainability programs, and when needed, recommending changes to close strategic gaps. • Working with business unit representatives to promote new product lines and uses for existing products that promote S/SR. • Providing input on carbon reduction strategies to senior management. • Coordinating memberships in the Alliance to End Plastic Waste and other S/SR organizations. • Partnering with customers and suppliers that are committed to furthering green initiatives including completing customer questionnaires. • Maintaining third-party sustainability credentials and certifications such as Ecovadis, Sedex & Operation Clean Sweep. • Maintaining and enhancing the S/SR information on the fpcusa.com web site and social media including quarterly updates to sustainable development reports. • Developing communication materials for employees regarding a company’s sustainability goals. QUALIFICATIONS: • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, is required, along with professional experience in sustainability, environmental management, or corporate social responsibility. Ideal experience includes work within the manufacturing, chemical, or energy sectors, with direct involvement in greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction initiatives, carbon credit or offset programs, energy efficiency, or recycling projects. • Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to apply engineering and environmental principles to develop practical sustainability solutions. • Additional projects may include organizing SDG historical data and the development of communicating that information to the public based on our adherence to the UN SDGs.
