Plan, design, and oversee civil engineering projects including stormwater management, paving, foundations, and site development at industrial facilities.
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 3+ years in industrial civil engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and knowledge of stormwater, drainage, paving, and foundation design.
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects at our industrial facilities. This includes stormwater management, drainage systems, paving, foundations, and overall site development. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments and is proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D for design and drafting. Key Responsibilities • Design and manage stormwater management systems including detention/retention, piping, and drainage infrastructure. • Plan and design industrial paving, roadways, and site access areas. • Develop foundation designs for industrial structures, equipment pads, and other facility components. • Prepare civil engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Conduct site assessments, grading plans, and cut/fill analyses for facility development and expansion. • Review and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including stormwater and environmental requirements. • Collaborate with internal teams, including structural engineers, project managers, and field personnel, to ensure accurate design implementation. • Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFI’s and reviewing as-built documentation. • Maintain project documentation, drawings, and reports in accordance with company procedures. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering within industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industrial settings. • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design, grading, stormwater, and utility layouts. • Experience with stormwater management, drainage design, paving, and foundation design. • Strong knowledge of grading, site development, and utility design. • Familiarity with construction standards, permitting, and environmental regulations. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required. Preferred Skills • Experience with industrial site expansion or retrofit projects. • Knowledge of environmental compliance, erosion control, and SWPPP design. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
