A global power distribution company is seeking a bilingual (Korean / English) Sr. Accounting Manager / Controller located near the Buffalo Grove area of Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, be comfortable handling large amounts of data, acting as a business partner, being a decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with all departments, as well as internationally. This is a full-time and direct hire role, offering a complete benefits package. Sr. Accounting Manager / Controller Responsibilities: • Manage all accounting and finance functions of US-based facilities. • Manage and oversee overall costs operations– A/P, A/R, cash flow, general ledger accounts etc. • Support management team with budget planning and provide guidance for key financial decisions • Ensure financial transactions, journal entries, vendor payments, records and reports are accurately filed, maintaining and improving existing systems for accuracy and efficiency • Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes • Coordinate internal financial audits and tax filings, ensuring proper compliance with all regulations and preventing any record discrepancies, in accordance with GAAP • Prepare budgets according to schedule, following forecasted trends, market analysis, collections, and implementation of cost-saving measures • Collaborate with senior management team to formulate company’s business plan and attend corporate meetings Sr. Accounting Manager / Controller Qualifications: • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or CPA highly preferred. • Business-level Korean and English language skills (including reading, writing, and speaking) • 5 - 10+ years of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing settings • Experience with Microsoft-based ERP software • Detail-oriented and analytical • Excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment, including the ability to direct and supervise effectively Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions / Renaissance Resources Inc., has been one of the leading recruiting firms in North America when it comes to working with Japanese Businesses for over 20 years.
