Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Quality Inspector responsible for inspecting incoming materials, first-piece samples, in-process work, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities • Conduct dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections using standardized procedures and documentation. • Use precision measuring instruments to verify product specifications. • Determine acceptance or rejection of items based on established criteria. • Maintain inspection records and document defects; collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure specification compliance. • Report quality concerns or findings to the quality management team. Essential Skills • High school diploma or GED. • 1–3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. • Capable of writing routine reports and communicating effectively with staff and management. • Proficient in basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. • Able to follow detailed written or verbal instructions. • Capable of solving problems involving limited variables in standardized situations. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with inspection, blueprint reading, and gauge usage. • Must have experience in sheet metal and with gauges. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
