Job Title: Waterfront/Marine Structural Project Manager Location: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote) – New York, NY Company: Top 50 Multidisciplinary Engineering Firm About The Role We are seeking a Waterfront/Marine Structural Project Manager to lead and manage complex waterfront infrastructure projects. This role involves client engagement, project coordination, staff mentorship, and providing technical expertise in marine and structural engineering. You will oversee design, permitting, and construction phases for a variety of coastal and marine structures. Key Responsibilities • Lead and review advanced structural and geotechnical engineering analyses for waterfront infrastructure projects. • Manage design efforts for bulkheads, seawalls, pile-supported platforms, breakwaters, revetments, stabilized embankments, and mechanically stabilized earth systems. • Guide preparation and submission of regulatory permit applications (NYSDEC, USACE, NYC Small Business Services). • Oversee development of technical reports, construction documentation, and project correspondence. • Direct field investigations, structural inspections, and provide engineering oversight during construction. • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. • Handle proposal development, change orders, invoice review, and client engagement. Qualifications • PE license in NY (or ability to obtain via reciprocity). • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required. • Experience in structural, waterfront/marine, or geotechnical design projects. • Proven project management skills: proposals, client management, billing, and staff mentoring. • Prior field experience in waterfront facility inspections and construction oversight. • Strong knowledge of waterfront structures highly preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Long Beach, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
