Job Title: Electrical Designer Job Description Under close and frequent supervision, the Electrical Designer assists Engineers, Project Managers, or Management by performing routine aspects of electrical engineering assignments. This role offers familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company. Responsibilities • Perform electrical design calculations for low/medium voltage power distribution systems, lighting, security/fire systems, and data/telecommunications systems. • Create sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work as required by assignments. • Coordinate project assignments with Engineers, Project Managers, and Management. • Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, and architects, recommending necessary changes. • Research code issues and collaborate with City, State, and County officials. • Explore design options and document findings for Engineers, Project Managers, and Management. • Assist with duties assigned by Engineers, Project Managers, and Management. • Attend site investigations, project kick-off, and design review meetings, interacting with clients as experience progresses. Essential Skills • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. • Ability to manage a portfolio of up to 50 projects simultaneously. • Knowledge of electrical theory as it relates to building codes, conduit runs, and lighting layouts. • Educational and professional experience in electrical engineering, conduit, lighting design, project management, fire system, and power distribution systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Knowledge of Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD. • Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software. • Ability to provide and follow written and verbal directions/instructions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
