What We’re Looking For If you’re a creative and compassionate educator with a strong commitment to supporting children with special needs, we want to hear from you! The ideal candidate will have: • A Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related field (preferred) • NYS Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2/All Grades Certification (preferred) • Previous classroom experience working with children with special needs • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and school districts • A passion for making learning fun, engaging, and impactful Your Role As a Preschool Special Education Teacher at ACDS, you’ll have the unique opportunity to guide and inspire children in a supportive and nurturing environment. Your responsibilities will include: • Providing individualized instruction and fostering a positive learning atmosphere • Designing and implementing lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student • Leading and supporting classroom assistants to ensure a productive classroom environment • Conducting data collection and writing time-sensitive reports • Communicating regularly with parents and school districts to ensure the best outcomes for students • Actively participating in CPSE meetings to collaborate on individualized education plans (IEPs) Why Choose ACDS?
