Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to provide oversight and advanced bookkeeping support for our clients. This role focuses on reviewing the work of junior bookkeepers, ensuring accuracy in complex financial records, and handling advanced accounting tasks including intercompany transactions, fixed assets, and financial statement analysis. Key Responsibilities: • Review and validate the work of junior bookkeepers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities. • Manage equipment and asset records, including depreciation tracking and adjustments. • Analyze complex financial statements, identify discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues to ensure accuracy. • Prepare client-ready financial reports, consolidations, and summaries. • Collaborate with management and clients to resolve accounting questions and provide actionable financial insights. • Lead month-end close activities and support ad hoc accounting projects as needed. • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and enhance the quality of bookkeeping work. • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards and stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally with multi-entity or complex financial structures. • Strong understanding of intercompany transactions, fixed assets, reconciliations, and month-end close. • High proficiency with bookkeeping/accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel. • Excellent analytical ability with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to review and correct work performed by junior bookkeepers. • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. • Fluency in English is required. • Russian, Romanian, or Ukrainian language skills are a bonus.
