Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with a strong background in the retailindustry and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Direct Lake, and modern data architecture. This role will be responsible for developing scalable, high-performance BI solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across merchandising, supply chain, and store operations. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and semantic models tailored to retail KPIs. Develop optimized DAX calculations, data models, and visuals to provide actionable insights for business users. Implement performance tuning and best practices for enterprise BI environments. Build and optimize Direct Lake datasets for high-volume retail datasets (sales, inventory, POS, promotions). Leverage Fabric features such as OneLake and Lakehouse modeling to modernize reporting architecture. Create reusable datasets and self-service BI capabilities for cross-functional teams. 3–5 years of hands-on Power BI development experience. Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling for large-scale analytical solutions. Strong SQL experience and familiarity with data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema). Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Direct Lake). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the retail industry Background in performance optimization for large Direct Lake datasets. Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and CI/CD for Power BI/Fabric. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment. Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.
