Location: Atlanta, GA or New York, NY Pay: $176,505 - $252,150 The pay listed is the salary range for this position. The APS Portfolio Director has full responsibility for functional areas and activities within the accounts assigned but in alignment and under the guidance of the APS IG, Regional Operations Teams and APS Enterprise Platform Team. About the Role ABM’s Products, Partnerships & Innovation organization drives transformation across the enterprise—building and scaling technology solutions that power growth, efficiency, and differentiation. Within this group, the Strategic Business Partner team serves as the critical bridge between business strategy and technology enablement. As Senior Director, Strategic Business Partner – APS, you will serve as the senior technology liaison for ABM’s APS (ABM Performance Solutions) business—one of the company’s highest-growth areas and a strategic priority for the enterprise. You will partner directly with business and technology leaders to define, evolve, and operationalize a technology ecosystem that enables APS’s continued expansion across both hard and soft services. This role blends strategic leadership, product thinking, and on-the-ground partnership. You will shape APS’s full technology roadmap, advocate for specialized solutions by vertical, ensure adoption across field operations, and set the bar for what “good” looks like in how ABM plans, implements, and scales its tech stack company-wide. Key Responsibilities Technology Strategy & Leadership: Define and maintain the long-term technology roadmap for the APS business, ensuring it supports strategic goals, drives efficiency, and enables scalable growth across diverse service lines. Enterprise Liaison: Serve as the single point of contact between APS leadership and the broader Technology organization, ensuring alignment, advocacy, and rapid progress on shared priorities. Solution Development: Identify where APS can leverage existing enterprise systems versus where bespoke solutions are needed; lead the design, evaluation, and prioritization of these initiatives. Technology Adoption: Drive field-level adoption of technology solutions through close collaboration, site visits, and change management strategies tailored to operational realities. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Technology, Operations, Finance, and Product teams to ensure solutions are practical, sustainable, and integrated into enterprise systems. Vertical Specialization: Ensure that APS’s technology stack evolves to support its verticals with differentiated capabilities—balancing standardization and specialization. Market Benchmarking: Continuously assess competitive offerings, industry benchmarks, and market trends to ensure APS’s technology capabilities stay ahead of client and operational needs. Field Research: Regularly conduct on-site visits and field interviews to understand challenges, gather insights, and ensure solutions are grounded in real-world needs. Metrics-Driven Success: Define, track, and report on key metrics to evaluate adoption, business impact, and ROI—ensuring technology investments are delivering measurable outcomes. Innovation & Benchmarking: Identify best practices, external innovations, and competitive benchmarks that inform APS’s technology roadmap and establish ABM-wide standards. Executive Communication: Represent APS’s technology vision and progress to senior and executive leadership, providing insight on ROI, adoption, and business impact. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team or matrixed group of business and technology professionals supporting APS initiatives, fostering collaboration and accountability. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred. 10+ years of experience in technology strategy, business transformation, or product leadership within large, complex organizations. Proven success serving as a strategic liaison between business and technology functions. Deep understanding of enterprise systems, data integration, and operational technology. Experience designing and executing technology roadmaps for multi-site or service-based organizations. Proven track record of leading initiatives through user adoption, inclusive of managing implementation plans, change management, and training. Excellent communication, influencing, and executive presentation skills. Experience managing executive communications. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on implementation. Willingness to travel regularly to engage with on-site teams and business leaders. Preferred Qualifications Experience in facility services (strong preference). Background in driving technology adoption within field or distributed environments. Strong understanding of the intersection between operational excellence, client experience, and digital transformation. Track record of thought leadership in enterprise technology planning and innovation.
