Full Description

Company : ABC Fitness Solutions Join ABC Fitness, the leading technology provider for the fitness industry! Job Description The Director, Product Operations is a key partner to the CPO and Product Leadership Team, responsible for aligning how ABC Fitness plans, delivers, and measures product work across lines and teams. The mandate is simple and outcomes‑oriented: establish consistent ways of working that help us deliver more value to our customers and to the business. You will build standardized product plans, drive operational readiness for organic product innovation, and create the operating playbook to connect strategy and execution. You will support elements of the Integrated Product Strategy (IPS) ensuring priorities translate into clear plans, measurable outcomes, and predictable delivery. What You’ll Do 1) Strategic Planning Develop and implement standardized product management strategies, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency across all product teams. Partner with product leadership to define a unified product development process aligned to growth objectives. Help translate company and product strategy into standardized product plans (problem statements, business outcomes, metrics, success criteria). Co‑lead quarterly and annual planning with the CPO and product leaders; align initiatives to capacity, dependencies, and measurable impact. Maintain a portfolio view across product lines; surface trade‑offs and recommend sequencing that maximizes customer value and business results. Prepare executive‑ready materials (roadmap reviews, portfolio updates) that make decisions fast and transparent. 2) Product Operating Rhythm Design and deploy a standardized framework for product initiatives, from ideation through launch and post-launch evaluation. Define and run the operating cadence including roadmap reviews, delivery check‑ins, risk/decision forums, and retrospective loops. Create clear status and change‑control mechanisms (what moved, why, impact) that improve predictability without adding friction. Ensure cross‑functional alignment (Engineering, Product Marketing, CS, GTM team, Support) throughout the ideation to execution stages 3) Process & Tooling Establish lightweight, scalable standards for planning, status, release readiness, and measurement (templates, checklists, dashboards). Evolve the tooling ecosystem (roadmapping, analytics, feedback/VoC, experimentation) such that usage, adoption, and outcomes are reliably measured. Set event/tagging conventions and success metric definitions across journeys; partner with Data/Engineering Ops to ensure signal quality. Publish recurring insight packs that connect customer signals and product performance to decisions (prioritization, trade‑offs, ROI). 4) Resource Management Lead capacity and dependency planning across product lines; tie roadmap load and team velocity to realistic delivery commitments. Surface constraints early with data‑backed options (sequence, scope, staffing) that protect time‑to‑value and business outcomes. Partner with Finance/People teams on headcount planning aligned to the portfolio roadmap and value goals. 5) Operational Readiness & Market Delivery Own operational readiness standards for major releases: enablement, documentation, support readiness, rollout & risk plans. Coordinate with Product Marketing and GTM on launch plans (timing, packaging, success metrics); run post‑launch reviews focused on customer impact and business results. Institutionalize continuous improvement (what we learned, what we’ll change next cycle). Support internal product communication and org readiness of new product initiatives 6) Financial Planning & Performance Partner with Finance to align on product-line revenue targets ensuring product plans and sequencing reflect business commitments. Help manage Product P&Ls in collaboration with each Product Lead — providing visibility into investment, cost, and return metrics. Track plan-vs-actual performance across ABC Product Portfolio, identify revenue and margin variances, and surface actionable insights for prioritization or re-investment. Outcomes & Success Metrics Examples include: Customer Value Adoption of new capabilities Time‑to‑First‑Value (TTFV) and time‑to-outcome for key journeys NPS/CSAT for new releases; reduction in top recurring pain points Closed‑loop responsiveness on VoC (feedback to decision to action) Business Value Contribution to revenue from new launches and improvements Improved predictability (planned vs. actual delivery), faster cycle time/lead time Reduced costs on consolidated tooling Roadmap linkage to evidence (percent of initiatives tied to quantified customer/business cases) What You’ll Need: 7+ years in Product Operations, Program Management, or related product leadership in SaaS/technology. Demonstrated success building standard planning frameworks, operating rhythms, and readiness practices that scale. Strong grasp of Agile product delivery, portfolio trade‑offs, and dependency management. Fluency with tooling (e.g., Jira, analytics/experimentation platforms) and data‑driven decision‑making. Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management; able to align Product, Engineering, and GTM quickly around outcomes. A pragmatic, systems‑oriented mindset focused on customer impact, business results, and continuous improvement.
