About the Role (Current Onsite Location Davidson County, TN) The Legacy Unveiled Volunteer Lead plays a key role in supporting 95 Counties’ mission to preserve, uplift, and protect historic Black heritage sites across Tennessee. This volunteer leadership position ensures smooth coordination between Legacy Unveiled partner sites, volunteers, and the executive team, helping the program operate efficiently and deliver meaningful impact. Only about 10 hours per month. Key Responsibilities • Volunteer Oversight: Monitor, guide, and support volunteers across Legacy Unveiled project sites; track volunteer hours, tasks, and project progress. • Project Management: Ensure volunteers and sites are meeting project goals, timelines, and expectations. • Communication & Liaison Work: Serve as the primary communication bridge between Legacy Unveiled partner sites and the 95 Counties executive team. Elevate concerns, provide updates, and ensure transparent and consistent information flow. • Partnership Support: Strengthen relationships with partner sites—currently including a historic Black church—and help maintain trust, collaboration, and shared mission alignment. • Budget Assistance: Help create and monitor budgets for specific Legacy Unveiled projects. • Strategic Planning: Support the development of program goals, planning documents, and long-term strategy. • Problem-Solving: Address issues that arise at volunteer sites and ensure they are resolved efficiently and respectfully. Current Scope The Volunteer Lead currently oversees two volunteers and one Legacy Unveiled partner site (a historic Black church), with responsibilities expanding as the program grows statewide. Compensation This is currently an unpaid volunteer position; however, there is potential for a stipend or paid role as fundraising increases and the Legacy Unveiled program expands.
